Chef Jermaine “Monk” George

Jermaine “Monk” George is the chef at the Tree House located on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. He began his career at the Culinary Institute of America and has garnered a wealth of fine dining experience from posts in the United States.

Monk grew up on Virgin Gorda and credits his mother – who relied heavily on the traditional spices and local flavours of curry, jerk and tropical fruits – for instilling an early adoration for cooking. He is a member of the BVI Culinary Team and has represented the BVI on multiple occasions.
